The future!

Ever since I was bitten by a radioactive spider I’ve been able to sense energy saving changes that will be made to Boulder city and county’s codebooks. I was really hoping I would get flying powers, or super strength, but I guess this is a fairly practical superpower.

So what does the future hold? More duct blaster tests, from the 2012 IECC, these will help identify problem duct systems so that they can be sealed so energy and money is not wasted. More stringent duct leakage requirements, the 2012 IECC is looking for 4 cfm or less per 100 square feet of finished living area, thats 80 cfm for your 2000 sq ft home, which is a step in the right direction. We have been able to bring duct systems into the single digits of leakage with Aeroseal!

These and other improvements in the IECC are supposed to save homeowners some money, 30% more money than the 2006 IECC (Boulder adopted the middle child 2009 code as well). Enjoy all that extra money thats going to stack up in your piggy bank, call us and we can come seal your ducts with Aeroseal!
